Homeownership

Working with various non-profit housing providers, the Lansing Housing Commission has established a Home Ownership Program.

The program works like this;

• Existing vacant single-family houses are identified and acquired by local non-profit
• Lansing Housing Commission provides rehab funds
• The renovated house is then sold to a qualified pubic housing or Section 8 participant

To date the Lansing Housing Commission has sold 8 houses.
