Public Housing The Lansing Housing Commission's public housing consists of 834 apartments, townhouses and scattered site homes - all located within the City of Lansing . The Commission owns, manages and maintains these properties. Rent is based upon household income and tenants who live in our public housing units can avail themselves to the various Resident Initiative Programs offered.
